100 new Facebook Fans in time for Xmas!

Do you want 100 new Facebook likes / fans in time for your Xmas promotion?

I am currently running a competition on behalf of one of my clients The Newsletter Publishing Company.

If you take part in the competition we are running, which can be found by clicking this Link.

We are offering 100 Facebook fans/likes as the first prize.

50 Facebook fans/likes as the 2nd prize.

25 Facebook fans/likes as the 3rd prize.

The Facebook fans will be other business people who are proactive Facebook marketers. They are people who I network with and members of my two Facebook marketing groups. Which you are welcome to join.

I have Startersphere’s Marketing Network which is a global Facebook marketing network and you can join my clicking this Link.

I also have Startersphere’s UK Marketing Network which is a UK Facebook marketing network that you can join by clicking here.

Both the groups offer networking, support, like exchange and increased engagement on Facebook.

Getting back to the competition. There is a lot of scope with 100 new fans as Facebook now has a “Promoted post” facility unfortunately  you do need 400 fans to “promote” posts. Still if you’re on 300 this will enable this function. The benefit of the promoted post is that as demonstrated below:

You have the potential to reach friends of fans as well as fans. For £10 you have the potential reach of between 3k – 6k people.

The Power of Direct Selling by Exhibiting in Shopping Centres

Are you looking to promote your business, enhance sales and get your brand to market?

Direct marketing is undeniably the best way to reach your audience but what better form than face to face. Exhibiting in highly populated shopping centres is a highly effective form of generating new business or reminding previous consumers how amazing you are.

The Centre for Exhibition Industry Research CEIR) says that “the top reason for

Exhibitor’s to take part is that it is the most efficient (and cost effective) way to make multiple customer contacts in a short period of time.”

The Newsletter Publishing Company is exhibiting in The Royal Victoria Place Shopping Centre from September the 10th – 17th of September. The average foot fall for a week is 190,000 people.

This offers a fantastic opportunity to have your business or event promoted by professional marketers, leaving you to concentrate on running your business.

The cost for exhibiting is £350 + VAT for a week’s exposure in a prime location within the shopping centre. We also design and produce an A1 poster and A5 leaflets if you require them.

Your A1 poster will be displayed on our exhibition stand, which will be situated in a prominent position in the shopping centre. Your A5 leaflets will be handed out to the visiting public by members of our staff, who are in attendance in our exhibition area 7 days per week.

We have recently exhibited at The Whitgift Shopping Centre in Croydon and prior to that we exhibited at The Elmsleigh Shopping Centre in Staines and The Belfry Shopping Centre in Redhill.

                                              A Client’s Testimonial

‘The promotion was a great success for us . . . we would not have been able to target so

many local people via any other form of marketing or advertising. We would not hesitate

to be involved again in another Professional Services Exhibition if it comes to our area.’

John Swift, Multi-Site Sales Manager, Mercure Hotels

Following the Tunbridge Wells exhibition we will then be exhibiting at the Southside Shopping Centre in Wandsworth in November. Southside attracts 175,000 shoppers a week and is also conveniently located for Clapham, Battersea, Chelsea, Earlsfield, Furzedown, Nine Elms, Putney Vale, Roehampton, Southfields, Streatham Park, Tooting, Tooting Bec, Balham and Putney businesses.

We are very pleased to have a high rate of repeat exhibitors including Mercure Hotels, who were kind enough to give us a recommendation. They will be exhibiting with us at The Royal Victoria Place Shopping Centre in Tunbridge Wells.

18th20109 crowdfunding websites to help you change the world.

For many people, the thought of taking significant financial risk holds them back from jumping head-long into launching the idea that has been stuck in the recesses of their head. This little collection of crowdfunding websites and web applications are designed to take the risk out of that creativity and innovation, allowing even the little guy to do something amazing.

Who needs venture capital funding to get their idea off the ground? If you’ve been holding back because of it, you might just find there’s help out there, fueled by the community, and managed by some of these fantastic sites, which can help you fund your idea, business startup or music project.

KickStarter has received quite a bit of publicity recently for its efforts. Most notably the open source facebook alternative Diaspora managed to raise $10,000 in just 39 days, proving that the concept had legs, and that crowdfunding as a concept has the community well and truly behind it. It’s not just software projects that the site caters for, out of all the current activity on the site, software is probably the most dull – as creatives around the world have embraced it as a way to realise spectacular dreams. With everything from life sized mousetrap games to one man’s cultural journey across Mexico KickStarter has clearly captured the imagination of its audience.

As far as the rules for funding goes, KickStarter keeps things simple. In order to receive the funding needed, a project must reach or exceed its funding goal or no money changes hands. If you do manage to reach your goal, 5% is taken from the

Entrepreneurs: a Source of Expertise and Inspiration

We at GigaOM believe entrepreneurs are more than a source for news — they are a source of expertise and inspiration. Expertise and inspiration that should be shared as far and wide as possible. After all, many ideas that work for a small, sleep-deprived team in a company that is keeping a vigilant eye on its burn rate will not only work for your team, but they can help you be more nimble and effective.

With that in mind, we proudly unveil the pilot episode of GigaOM’s new ongoing video series, “See Founders Run.” No, we don’t take them out for a quick 5k jog (note to self: totally do a foot race video show). Rather, we sit down with startup founders and other entrepreneurs and find out how they run different aspects of their companies so that we can pass that firsthand knowledge on to you.

In our inaugural…
